What is P4P
P4P is a long-term business ecosystem platform — not a single app, not a CRM, not an ERP replacement. It's a shared environment where companies, consultants, agencies, individual professionals, and (increasingly) AI agents operate under one account and identity system, subscribe to independent products, and eventually discover and collaborate with each other.
Full rationale lives in docs/VISION.md — read it before making a product decision that isn't obviously a bug fix. This page only summarizes what you need to navigate the platform.
The one entity that represents everyone: Organization
Whether it's BMW GmbH, a solo consultant, or an individual user's personal workspace, every participant is represented the same way: an Organization. This is deliberate — every platform capability built for "an organization" automatically works for a company, an agency, or one person, with no special cases.
Users are not owned by an organization
A User is a platform-level identity that can belong to multiple organizations at once, with a different role in each. See Architectural tiers for how User, Organization, and Platform relate.
Odoo is temporary, on purpose
Odoo Community Edition runs today as a stand-in ERP/CRM, but it is explicitly not the source of truth and new business logic is never built inside it (CLAUDE.md → Architecture Principles 1–4). Don't be surprised if a feature you'd expect to be "an Odoo thing" is actually implemented natively — that's the intended direction, not an inconsistency.
